"I always wanted to perform," says Deborah Harry, "although when I was little I thought I wanted to be a movie star because rock stars didn't exist then. But when rock started, well...that's when I went, 'OK, that's it! That'll be it!'"
And it was! A rock star she would become, and a pretty big one, too--thanks to her group, Blondie, and its succession of chart-topping and ground-breaking records released between 1976 and 1982. Of course,, Harry--away from the band--also managed to satisfy her curiosity as to what it's like to be a 'movie star,' appearing in a variety of films over the years.
But on the day that Frontiers spoke to her she really didn't want to talk about anything to do with acting or 'Deborah Harry--the performer.' These days it's Blondie she wants to discuss--and, of course, the release of their new CD, 'No Exit'....
