In the early 80s, I remember listening to R&B radio mostly. And a song called "Rapture" had come on. And it was a girl rapping...

Actually, she was purring in comparison to the female rappers—Missy Elliott, Foxy Brown and Lil' Kim—today. But at that time, female rappers, albeit a sugarcoated one, were unheard of. But that voice would introduce the first blue-eyed rap song, giving way to the likes of the Beastie Boys, Anthrax and others...
