After having photographed the Grateful Dead for several years, covering Blondie seemed an unlikely choice. Though my loyalty had been tied to the Dead for many years, oddly enough Blondie was one of the first bands I remember listening to as a kid...so it was almost a natural thing to document these NYC shows. What was happening at the time of their reunion was just as important as it was in the 70's.
