New Changes for Entourage and Outlook Users

Many of you have been impacted by the “black list”, “block list” or “blocked due to abuse”, bounce back emails. We are diligently working to identify the many reasons for this and then eliminate the causes within our control. This webpage will explain the new change, who is affected and what to change on your email accounts.

What has changed?

We are no longer using POP3 Drury Email outside of our Springfield Campus.(Only affects Outgoing)

This change will disallow others from contacting our email server directly and thus make it very difficult for Spammers to bypass our multi-level filters.

Who is affected by the change?

Anyone who uses POP3 email account outside of Springfield Drury Campus

How to make the changes

  • Smart phone or other mobile device that uses a Drury POP3 email account. (Call our Help Desk 417-873-7300 for assistance)
We are not able to support all smart phones and this change may impact our ability to support others.

  • Webmail Only: NO CHANGE
  • Outlook, Entourage or Mac Mail (Springfield Campus Only): NO CHANGE

We plan to implement this change on March 23, 2009; therefore, if you need this reconfiguration, you will need to take advantage of one of the processes indicated above before March 23, 2009.
