What Is The Kappa Alpha Order


		The Kappa Alpha Order has 136 Chapters and 125,000 initiated members.
		The Mission Statement The mission of Kappa Alpha is to bring together a brotherhood of gentlemen who, despite their differences, share the common goal of improving both themselves and the community as a whole. They are dedicated to preserving the order as a respectable institution and seeking out those who would prove themselves worthy of membership. If the standards are upheld, this chapter will only prosper and many young men will go out into the world changed for the better, ready to meet every challenge they face with a network of supportive brothers and lifelong friends beside them.
		Kappa Alpha at Drury University Kappa Alpha Order has been at Drury since April 27, 1907 and is the oldest fraternity on campus. Kappa Alpha members participate in Greek-wide and campus-wide events. Members of the Beta Iota chapter range through many different majors and are members of many campus organizations. KA is well represented on the World Championship Drury SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) Team, boasting ten brothers as members. Kappa Alpha always participates with great success in intramural sports and other athletic events.
		Our Mission at Drury University The Drury University Kappa Alpha is an order, rooted in tradition and high personal achievement. Our mission is to involve every brother in maintaining a positive image on our campus and in our community while cultivating and instilling the ideals of Kappa Alpha into each other.

He is steadfast in his beliefs and has a passion for life that cannot be matched~ a born leader, deserving the respect of all those he encounters. He is wise and strong, but despite this, is exceedingly humble. At all times, he is an able listener who will work selflessly for the good of the community. A man of The Order, simply put, strives to be his best and bring out the same in those around him.
		The Philosophy of KA Kappa Alpha Order provides a way of life significant to the development of young men. Emulating chivalric ideals and genteel ethics, KA translates these timeless philosophies into the mainstream of American colleges and universities. These gentlemanly traits are the hallmark for men who have chosen our unique lifestyle. The philosophy of the Order is that the acquisition of knowledge and the development of character are the great goals of life. Through fellowship and brotherhood, KA seeks to teach young men to be leaders; to be brave, self reliant, and to continually strive to better themselves.
